RETProgram
One of the Western Australian Health Translation Network’s key enabling platforms

Our Story
The Research Education and Training Program (RETProgram) was established in 2015 as a cornerstone initiative within the Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN). Its inception was made possible through funding support from the Western Australian Department of Health.
Our course writers and reviewers are drawn from across the WAHTN Partner Organisations. These individuals are selected based on recommendations, expressions of interest, and referrals from prominent researchers.
Access to the RETProgram courses is free for all partner organisations of WAHTN. Courses are 1-4 hours in duration. Participants are able to stop and start the modules returning to their point of exit.
Who We Are
RETProgram is the training platform of the Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN).
WAHTN operates as a multi-site, state-wide, collaborative health translation network which brings together WA’s universities, medical research institutes, public and private hospitals, PathWest and the WA Department of Health, to embrace and accelerate research translation.
Our Contributors
The RETProgram materials can be tailored by individual institutions for use in research induction processes. To date, 100+ experts across WAHTN partners have played a role in the development and review of these courses.
Experts in the field who contribute to and/or review materials for the RETProgram are acknowledged in each course along with their role(s) and institutions.
Our Partners
The Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN) is a collaboration of 22 state-wide contributing member partners.
