By the end of the module participants will be able to:

1. Understand what is meant by critical appraisal of a scientific publication.

2. Understand why it is necessary to critically appraise published literature.

3. Become familiar with the key steps in the critical appraisal process.

4. Independently conduct critical appraisal of research articles.
